Max Christie

Max Christie is an accomplished engineering and technology leader with extensive experience in the industrial gas and materials science sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering & Technology for Electronic Deposition Materials at Praxair Surface Technologies since October 2021, Christie previously held various increasingly responsible roles at Praxair, Inc., including R&D Director, R&D Manager, and Development Specialist from June 2000 to October 2021. Christie also managed projects as the Program Manager for SOFC at ECN from January 1994 to June 2000, focusing on European Solid Oxide Fuel Cell development with Sulzer HEXIS and Siemens AG. Christie earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic Science and Engineering from the University of Leeds.
