Praxen Development and Engineering builds AI systems that hold up when real work depends on them. If your team is adopting AI faster than it can keep track of, or you have a workflow that needs a model doing the work inside it, you are the kind of client we work with.

The practice runs across three divisions, and most engagements draw on more than one. Development handles the client build work, custom applications and automation that carry a process from start to finish, plus legal technology for the firms that need it, so work that used to burn hours gets done with a record you can audit. Institute is the research and governance side, where we study how to keep AI accountable and defensible and publish what we find, so the systems we deliver can be explained and stood behind long after they ship. Labs works ahead of the market on harder problems and the next generation of agents, so clients who come in early reach new methods before they are common.

We designed and built our own core systems from the ground up, with the same agentic methods we bring to client work. the-array is a private gateway that puts every AI model call through one accountable, cost-controlled place and keeps sensitive work on hardware we control. docket.ai runs first-contact intake for law firms, carrying a matter from the call through a drafted engagement letter with a lawyer in the loop. We build the same way for the people who hire us.

Common starting points include a workflow you want automated from end to end, an AI stack that grew faster than anyone can govern, a manual intake or review process that needs to scale, and an idea that needs real engineering to become a product.

We build for reliability and for outcomes you can measure, and everything we ship is something you can re-derive and govern yourself.

Bring us the problem behind a real workflow. chris@cld-dev.io
