James Moughon

James Moughon has extensive experience in engineering and software development. James is currently working at Praxent as the VP of Engineering, where they oversee the growth and maturity of the engineering team and builds relationships with clients in the financial services industry. Prior to this, they served as the Technical Director and Practice Lead at Praxent, where they planned technical solutions, led development processes, and built a team of accomplished engineers.

Before joining Praxent, James worked at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute as a Software Applications Developer and Web Applications Team Lead. In this role, they managed a team of developers and content creators, created websites and custom applications for transportation projects, and maintained WordPress sites.

James also has experience at Praxent as a Lead Developer, where they worked on front-end theming, custom application development, and site building. Additionally, they worked at Texas A&M University as a Senior Information Technology Consultant, where they maintained CMS-based websites and web servers, created custom themes and modules, and provided training and consultation on various web and IT projects. James also served as a Microcomputer/LAN Administrator at the International Programs Office, overseeing network maintenance and managing student workers.

James Moughon began their education journey in 2005 when they enrolled at Texas A&M University. James pursued a degree in Technology Management, completing their studies in 2009. During their time at Texas A&M University, no specific field of study is provided. In 2012, they earned the Power Searching with Google Certificate from Google. This additional certification in Google's search technology may reflect a focus on enhancing research and information retrieval skills. Most recently, in 2022, James obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). This certification suggests their proficiency in cloud computing concepts and foundational knowledge of AWS services.
