Shakala Royal

Shakala Royal possesses a diverse background in community and human services, currently serving as a Property Manager at Roof Above since January 2024. Previously, Shakala has worked as a Case Worker at Praxis Housing Initiatives, Inc. since May 2017, and held the position of Office Manager at VIP Community Services from August 2018 to August 2023. Earlier experience includes serving as a Program Assistant at the Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center from October 2014 to January 2017, and as a Residential Supervisor at Project Renewal from October 2012 to April 2014. Shakala holds a Bachelor of Science and an Associate of Science in Community and Human Services from Empire State University, and completed a GED at Bronx Outreach.
