Christiana Cheng, PhD, currently serves as Associate Director of Cure & Care Programs at Praxis Spinal Cord Institute since April 2019, focusing on advancing spinal cord injury research and patient care. Prior to this role, Christiana was a Research Associate at The Rick Hansen Institute from September 2013 to March 2019, where efforts targeted optimizing healthcare systems for better patient outcomes. Additionally, Christiana held the position of District 96 Area 75 Director at Toastmasters International from July 2017 to June 2018, training club executives and enhancing member experiences. Christiana's academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and a PhD in Biological Sciences from Simon Fraser University, as well as experience as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of British Columbia, focusing on genetic retinal disorders.
