PRC is a new $30-million San Francisco nonprofit formed through the merger of Positive Resource Center, Baker Places, and AIDS Emergency Fund. Leveraging a 50-year legacy of community service, PRC is focused on ending homelessness and improving the quality of life in the City by removing social barriers to good health and financial stability. Through PRC’s uniquely integrated legal, social, and health services each year more than 5,000 people are building income, getting healthy, and staying housed. 

The mission of PRC is to help people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use, or mental health issues better realize opportunities by providing integrated legal, social, and health services that address the broad range of social risk factors that impact wellness and limit potential.

The Legal and Compliance team at PRC is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to legal standards and regulations while effectively advocating for the rights of the community it serves. This team provides expert legal counsel, develops policies, and conducts training to support PRC’s mission, addressing issues related to homelessness, health, and social justice for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use, and mental health challenges. Through proactive legal advocacy, they work to remove barriers and enhance access to vital services for the populations PRC serves.
