Laura Golsteijn has a strong background in sustainability and life-cycle assessment (LCA). Laura started their career as an intern at Radboud University Medical Centre Nijmegen in 2007, followed by internships at RIVM in 2008 and TNO in 2009. Laura then joined Radboud University Nijmegen as a PhD researcher from 2009 to 2014, where they focused on enhancing toxic impact modeling in LCA. During this time, they supervised interns and taught in various Bachelor's programs.
In 2012, Laura worked as a guest researcher at Veolia Environnement, where they conducted research on environmental fate and uncertainty assessment for emerging pollutants. Laura also developed methodologies for assessing human health impacts from indoor chemical exposure in LCA and provided teaching on USEtox to Veolia's employees.
Since 2014, Laura has been part of the team at PRé Sustainability, starting as a Technical Analyst and later becoming an LCA Consultant. In their role as Senior LCA Consultant, they are responsible for project management, quality assurance, and coaching of analysts, consultants, and experts. Currently, Laura holds the position of Capacity Stream Lead, where they focus on building and expanding the team's capacity, as well as leading LCA projects.
Laura Golsteijn earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Environmental Science from Radboud University, which they completed from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences from the same institution between 2004 and 2009. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Leading Groups from Mischief Makers B.V. in the year 2023.
