Zhijian Lu

Dr. Lu has extensive experience in biotherapeutic discovery and early development. He led the Biologics Discovery unit at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research in Shanghai. Previously Dr. Lu held director-level positions in biotherapeutic research at Pfizer and Wyeth where he was responsible for discovery research of biotherapeutics and the management of external collaborations.

Dr. Lu has experience in the production of and scale-up of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies for drug discovery research and early development.

Dr. Lu has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Jilin University, China, and a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from Boston University. He completed post-doctoral studies at MIT.
