Mr. Michael Shirima is an Aircraft Performance Engineer and Evaluation by Profession. He worked for 11 Years in Nairobi, Kenya at the now defunct East African Airways (EAA). In 1977 he joined the task force established by Tanzania Government to set up the National Airline, Air Tanzania Corporation (ATC) and was appointed its first Operations Director. He resigned in 1979 and traded internationally in coffee. He founded Precision Flight (Africa) Limited, a crop dusting company in 1986 and Precision Air Services (Precision air) in 1993. He has extensive Boardroom experience: Board member of The Bank of Tanzania (BOT), Chairman of Tanzania Golf Union, the current Chairman of the Boards of Precision Air and TOL Gases both listed companies in the DSE, Board member of I&M Bank (T) Ltd and Tanzindia Assurance Co. Ltd. He established an orphanage, Cornel Ngaleku Children Centre (CNCC) located at his home village in Rombo Kilimanjaro Region.
