Bryan Richardson has extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property and patent law. Bryan is currently the Associate Director of Intellectual Property and Business Development at Precision BioSciences, Inc., where they have been working since 2019. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Patent Agent at the same company from 2021 to 2023, and as a Patent Agent from 2019 to 2021.

Before joining Precision BioSciences, Bryan worked as a Patent Agent at Brinks Gilson and Lione from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they provided scientific advice and assistance to clients in various fields, including biotech, chemical, medical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical.

Prior to that, Bryan worked as a Patent Agent at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice LLP from 2014 to 2015. Bryan also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2007 to 2014, where they focused on studying oncogenic factors in breast cancer and discovered novel kinase signaling networks.

Bryan's early career included roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at East Carolina University from 2005 to 2007 and as a Billing and Reimbursement Associate at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine from 2004 to 2006.

Bryan Richardson earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular Biology from East Carolina University from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmacology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2007 to 2013. Bryan also obtained a certification as a Patent Agent from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2012.
