Michael Heck

Michael Heck has extensive experience in laboratory operations and supervision. Michael currently serves as the Director of Laboratory Operations at Precision Point Diagnostics since October 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked at DUNWOODY LABS from May 2016 to April 2023, where they held multiple positions including Laboratory Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, and Consultant. From September 2020 to July 2022, they served as the COVID Laboratory Director at Eurofins NTD Genetics. Michael also worked briefly as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor at A-TEK, Inc. from August 2020 to September 2020. Michael's early experience includes serving as a Clinical Laboratory Director at Dunwoody Labs from June 2009 to July 2013.

Michael Heck obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology, General from Arizona State University, where they attended from 1996 to 2002. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Technologist in Chemistry (ASCP-C)cm from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in October 2020, High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) from the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) in October 2021, and Medical Technologist-Immunology from the American Association of Bioanalysts in October 2019.
