Sandy Hogg

Sandy Hogg has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, Sandy holds the position of SVP Alliance Management at PrecisionLife since March 2021. Prior to that, Sandy worked as an Executive Director at Deeside Ventures Ltd since March 2009.

Sandy also held directorial positions in other organizations, including being a Director at BioTECH Backstop Ltd since September 2020 and a Venture Partner at Pegasus Funding Solutions Ltd from June 2020 to March 2022. In these roles, Sandy provided expertise and assistance in bioTECH consultancy and financial funding solutions for various companies.

In the past, Sandy has worked as the Director of Biology at Chalante from November 2017 to May 2019, where they played a role in business planning, fundraising, and collaboration with pharmaceutical companies. Sandy also founded and served as the CEO of Angita Pharmaceuticals from January 2010 to March 2016. In this role, Sandy successfully fundraised and secured grants and investment while managing financial matters and legal documentation.

Prior to that, Sandy worked at H Lundbeck A/S as a Senior Specialist Scientific Licensing from July 2005 to April 2009, contributing to research, development, and licensing activities. Sandy also held various positions at H Lundbeck, including Head of Department, Psychopharmacology from January 2000 to June 2005, and Section Leader, Psychopharmacology from October 1996 to December 1999.

Sandy began their career as a Research Scientist, initially at Synthelabo Recherche from February 1995 to September 1996, and then at Sanofi-Synthelabo, where the specific dates are not provided.

Sandy Hogg pursued higher education in the field of neuropharmacology and physiology & pharmacology. From 1986 to 1989, Sandy attended The University of Sheffield and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology & Pharmacology. Subsequently, from 1989 to 1992, Sandy attended the University of Bradford where they earned a PhD in Neuropharmacology.
