Ramin Karim

Ramin Karim has extensive work experience in the field of academia and science. Ramin started their career at Luleå University of Technology in 2001 as an Assistant Professor and later became an Associate Professor from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they were promoted to the position of Professor. In addition to their teaching and research roles, Ramin Karim served as a Scientific Council Member of CREATERTNITY from 2020. Ramin has also held various leadership positions, including being the Director of CIAM - Centre of Intelligent Asset Management since 2019. Ramin Karim is also the Founder of Predge AB, a company they established in 2013. Ramin has contributed to the scientific community as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Performability Engineering since 2010. Ramin Karim is actively involved in various organizations and has served as a Board Member for Riksorganisationen Svenskt Underhåll since 2022 and for Sustainability Circle from 2020 to 2023. Ramin has also held leadership positions in The Computer Society in Norrbotten County as the Chair of the Steering Board from 2007 to 2013 and in The Swedish Computer Society as a Member of the Steering Board from 2010 to 2012. Ramin Karim's diverse work experience showcases their expertise in academia, research, leadership, and collaboration within various organizations.

Ramin Karim obtained a Ph.D. degree in Operation & Maintenance Engineering from Luleå University of Technology. Ramin pursued their doctoral studies at the university from 1984 to 1987.
