Karen Hills has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Karen began their career in 1997 as a Senior Director and Product Manager at Hexagen/Incyte, where they worked on sequencing and SNP discovery services. In 2001, they moved to Amedis Pharmaceuticals as Head of Business Development, where they managed a software development team and supported service programmes with pharmaceutical customers. In 2006, they joined Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals as an MSM Oncology, and then in 2007 they were appointed Key Customer Manager for Oncology. In 2011, they were promoted to Brand Manager for Virology, and then in 2014 they worked for 14M Genomics as a Biotech Start Up. In 2016, they began working as a Biotech Marketing and Business Development Contract/Consultancy for Juneberry Ltd., and in 2017 they were a Marketing and Business Development Consultant for Abzena. Finally, in 2018 they began their current role as Executive Director of Medical Affairs and Market Access at PredictImmune.

Karen Hills received their BSc in Biology from the University of London between 1982 and 1985. Karen then went on to pursue their PhD in Molecular Biology/Genetic Research from the University of Cambridge from 1985 to 1989. Finally, they earned their MBA from the London Business School between 1999 and 2001.
