Amanda Karlsson

Amanda Karlsson has a diverse work experience, starting in 2009 as a Store Cashier at Ica Nära Brastad. Amanda then worked as a Laboratory Technician at Preem AB from 2013 to 2017. In 2018 and 2019, they worked as an Environmental Assistant at Preem AB, where they conducted tasks such as noise measurements, groundwater sampling, and office work. During the same period, they also worked as a MSc Thesis student at Chalmers University of Technology, focusing on sewage sludge hygienization methods and improving the inventory step of nutrients. In 2019, they worked as a VA-Engineer for Partille kommun, primarily dealing with water meters and construction fees. Currently, since 2020, they hold the position of Process Engineer and Environmental Engineer at Preem AB, where they are responsible for the daily operations and investment projects of the refinery's wastewater treatment plant and works on improving water purification and reducing environmental impact. Amanda also handles tasks related to discharges, sewage systems, and groundwater.

Amanda Karlsson completed their education at various institutions. Amanda obtained their Gymnasieexamen in the field of Teknikprogrammet from Gullmarsgymnasiet in 2012. Amanda then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, graduating in 2019. During this period, in 2018, they also studied Marine pollution 7.5hp at the University of Gothenburg and Project development 15hp at Umeå University. Additionally, Amanda Karlsson obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Ecology from Chalmers University of Technology, completing their studies in 2019.
