Anna Grunewald Thoor has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Anna started their career as a Master Thesis intern at Ericsson in 1999. Anna then worked as a Laboratory Engineer at Biosensor Applications for a few months in 2001. Afterwards, they joined Ericsson again, this time in a role related to Portfolio Management, which they held from 2001 to 2002. Anna then worked as a Claims Engineer at Risk Management in the Port of Gothenburg from 2002 to 2004. Anna then joined Shell Oil Company as a Process Engineer at their Gothenburg Refinery from 2004 to 2007. Subsequently, they joined Preem AB, first as a Process Engineer at the Preem Refinery in Gothenburg from 2007 to 2010, and later as a Manager of Process Technology from 2011 to 2011. Anna then took on various roles at Preem AB, including Safety Manager from 2011 to 2016, Head of HSSE from 2017 to 2021, and currently serves as the Head of Projects and Plant Integrity.
Anna Grunewald Thoor began their education in 1995 at Chalmers University of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. Anna completed their MSc in Chemical Engineering at Chalmers University in 1998. In 1999, Anna continued their education at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in Chemical Engineering, and completed their MSc degree there in 2001. In 2000, they also attended Lacunza International House to study Spanish. Prior to their university studies, Anna received preparatory/basic art education at Stockholm Art School from 1998 to 1999.
