Yaya Ren PhD/JD has been working in the field of anthropology and technology consulting since 2011. Yaya currently serves as the Founder| CEO|Chief Anthropologist at PreeMe+You. Her role as an anthropologist includes providing operational insights across a variety of sectors such as advertising, human design thinking, technology and human factors design, patient experience, and community/non-profits. Yaya has worked on projects that explore topics such as providing 'human care' in 21st century medicine, the role of mobile technologies in shaping meaningful human interactions, parent-infant bonding, and the role of social connectedness in bridging 21st century health disparities.
Yaya Ren earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and was a Fulbright Scholar at Emory University, where they studied Cultural Anthropology, Medical Anthropology, and Technology and Human Interactions. Yaya then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, where they also earned a Bachelor's Degree and was a Ford Foundation Fellow, studying Theirtory and Philosophy of Science and Technology. Yaya then went on to earn a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Vanderbilt University Law School.
