Kathy Brink

Kathy Brink is an experienced mental health professional, currently serving as a Mental Health Therapist at Preferred Family Healthcare since October 2016. Brink holds an Illinois Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) certification, is a National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC), and is a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor (CADC). In addition to therapy, Brink has a longstanding career as a freelance musician and composer, providing instruction in vocal, piano, and guitar since 1976. Previous roles include Licensed Professional Counselor at Jerry Walker Therapy Services, Associate Faculty at John Wood Community College, and Counselor at Quincy University, where counseling support was offered to students. Brink also served as Community Outreach Coordinator for Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois and Program Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Illinois, focusing on crisis counseling, volunteer matching, and non-profit management. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Counseling from Quincy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Springfield.
