Scott Cathey

Scott Cathey is a highly experienced geologist currently serving as a Staff Geologist at Prein&Newhof since January 2021. Prior to this, Scott worked as a Staff Geologist at SMEUSA from February 2020 to October 2020, conducting Phase I and II environmental site assessments and executing environmental sampling. From February 2016 to February 2020, Scott held the position of Senior Engineering Technician at Driesenga & Associates, Inc., where responsibilities included extensive soil, concrete, and aggregate testing, as well as monitoring concrete installations for various projects. Scott also worked as a Laboratory Technician at Materials Testing Consultants in 2015, managing the concrete lab and performing soil tests. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Hope College, obtained in 2015.
