Balwant Singh

Balwant Singh currently serves as the Regional Application Manager-North at Premas Life Sciences Pvt Ltd., where responsibilities include Illumina-based sequencing, RNA extraction, 10x genomics, and genotyping since September 2019. Prior to this role, Balwant held positions as Assistant Manager-Field Application Scientist and Senior Field Application Scientist. Between July 2011 and September 2019, Balwant worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at NRC on Plant Biotechnology, IARI, India, focusing on phenotyping under various stresses, genomics techniques such as SNP genotyping and microarray, alongside conducting field experiments and developing molecular breeding techniques. Balwant holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, completed in 2011.
