Systems Engineer Iv/tech Lead - Citrix/vdi at Premera

Marty Cookson's work experience began in 1997 at AT&T Wireless, where they served as a Citrix Administrator. Marty was responsible for the administration of NT servers and the day-to-day administration of multiple Citrix MetaFrame Farms. In 2005, they joined Atos Orgin as a Senior Citrix Engineer, where they administered NT servers and conducted disaster recovery documentation and testing. Marty then moved to Perot Systems Inc in the same year as a Senior Citrix Engineer, optimizing Citrix environments for performance and engineering the implementation of a pilot Citrix Presentation Server. In 2007, they joined Premera Blue Cross as a Systems Engineer IV/Tech Lead, where they served as the Product Owner for Citrix and VDI, led the Citrix and VDI team, and played a key role in a data-center move.

Marty Cookson attended Western Oregon University from 1988 to 1990, where they pursued a degree in Computer/Business. Marty Cookson has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. They obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in January 2022. In April 2020, they achieved the Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE - V) certification from Citrix. They also hold the Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator certification from Citrix Systems, obtained in June 2005. Marty Cookson has additional certifications from Microsoft, including the Microsoft Certified Professional - Server 2003 also XP certification obtained in June 2005 and the Microsoft Certified System Engineer certification obtained in April 2000. They have also earned the Citrix Certified Expert-Virtualization and Citrix Certified Professional-Virtualization certifications, although the dates of obtaining these certifications are not specified.
