Sven Peterson

Sven Peterson's work experience includes various roles in the healthcare industry. Sven served as Vice President of Compliance, Ethics, and Regulatory Services and Corporate Compliance & Ethics Officer for Premera Blue Cross, where they oversaw the company's response to evolving healthcare industry regulations. Sven also held positions as Vice President of Regulatory Services and Assistant General Counsel, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Assistant General Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel at Premera Blue Cross.

Outside of the healthcare industry, Sven worked as a General Attorney for the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of General Counsel, Public Health Division. Sven also gained experience as an Associate Attorney at Foster Pepper PLLC.

In the academic field, Sven served as an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business, teaching Ethical Leadership at the MBA level. Sven was recognized as the Evening MBA Professor of the Year for the Class of 2023 and the Evening MBA Core Professor of the Year for the Class of 2024.

Prior to their professional career, Sven worked as a Research Assistant at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University and served as a Teaching Associate at Georgetown University.

Sven Peterson has pursued a comprehensive education in various fields throughout their life. Starting with their high school education, Sven attended Garfield High School from 1989 to 1992. Following this, they proceeded to Seattle University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy between 1993 and 1996.

Building on their bachelor's degree, Sven Peterson furthered their academic pursuits at Georgetown University from 1996 to 2003. During this time, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philosophy, delving deeper into this subject of interest.

Inspired to expand their knowledge beyond philosophy, Sven attended Columbia Law School from 2003 to 2006. Sven successfully earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and specialized in the field of Law.

In addition to their formal education, Sven Peterson has also obtained relevant certifications. In October 2019, they achieved the title of Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB). Furthermore, in November 2006, Sven became a member of the Washington State Bar through the Washington State Bar Association.
