Abhijit Mitra

Abhijit Mitra is a highly experienced geomechanics professional currently serving as a Senior Geomechanics Advisor at Premier Corex since May 2023. With a robust background in geomechanics consulting and engineering, Abhijit held positions including Geomechanics Consultant at MetaRock Laboratories, Inc. from September 2015 to May 2023, Technical Advisor at FEI Company from September 2014 to July 2015, and Geomechanics Engineer at Schlumberger from May 2010 to December 2012. Previous roles also include Staff Scientist at New England Research, Inc. from January 2013 to August 2014 and Researcher/Research Assistant at Southern Illinois University from August 2005 to April 2010. Abhijit obtained a PhD in Engineering Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur.
