Stanley Burton has over 35 years of experience in the financial and accounting industry. Stanley began their career in 1984 as an Accountant at the Developmental Services Center, where they were responsible for recording and reporting on all state grants, overseeing the payroll and payment of all payroll taxes, and supervising the accounts payable department. In 1986, they became the Controller at Clifford-Jacobs Forging Company, where they managed financial and accounting functions for the manufacturer, was accountable for financial statements, profit flow/cash flow analysis, and management of lines of credit, and hired and supervised a staff of seven. In 2014, they took on the role of Senior Developer, Finance at the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), where they managed the Finance, Customer Service, and Production Departments. In 2017, they became the Controller at News-Gazette Media, where they managed the operations of the Finance Department, including the reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and prepared all annual audit reports in conjunction with the outside audit firm along with the filing of the annual tax returns. Currently, Stanley is the Controller - Energy at Premier Cooperative Inc.
Stanley Burton attended Illinois State University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accountancy.
