Heather Skaar

Heather Skaar has extensive experience in the healthcare field. Heather worked at Premier Health as the Director of Client Operations starting in 2023. Prior to that, they spent 18 years at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they held the position of Administrative Director for the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Surgery. During their time at Vanderbilt, they oversaw rehabilitation operations in both ambulatory and acute care settings, managing a team of 185 employees and $54 million in gross revenue. Their responsibilities included serving as a rehabilitation consultant, developing new practices, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading team development and project management. Before working at Vanderbilt, Heather worked at HealthSouth for 5 years as an Area Manager, where they managed multiple outpatient therapy clinics, overseeing a team of 78 employees and $20 million in gross revenue. Their responsibilities at HealthSouth included practice management, human resources, program development, marketing, and provision of clinical care.

Heather Skaar has a B.S. in Exercise Science from Miami University, received in 1996. Heather then went on to complete a Master's degree in Physical Therapy at Midwestern University from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, Heather obtained a Business Management Certificate from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management.
