From 2010 to 2012, Okky Satya worked as a Senior Information Technology Technician at Notebooks R Us. Okky provided troubleshooting support and IT services both in-store and on-site. Okky also introduced a backup solution scheme that generated revenue for the company.

Okky Satya completed a Diploma in Computer Science at the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU / APIIT) from 2002 to 2004. Okky then pursued their Bachelor's (Honors) degree in Computer Science at Staffordshire University from 2004 to 2006. Later, they obtained a Masters degree in Computer Science from Charles Sturt University, which they attended from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Okky Satya holds certifications in CompTIA A+, MYOB Certified Consultant, and UBS Accounting.
