The Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center translates the science of the developing child into the most effective policy actions and public investments for states. We help policymakers and leaders navigate the complex social, economic, and health needs of families and the evidence of what works to strengthen comprehensive prenatal-to-3 systems of care. The annual Prenatal-to-3 State Policy Roadmap shows where each state is on the most effective policies and strategies and how they can leverage multiple investments to impact child outcomes. The Policy and Research Team at the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center conducts comprehensive analyses and reviews to identify and translate evidence-based policies that support the developmental needs of children from prenatal through age three. They evaluate state-level policies, manage and interpret policy data, and create detailed reports such as the annual Prenatal-to-3 State Policy Roadmap. This team plays a crucial role in guiding policymakers and leaders by providing actionable insights and rigorous research to help improve outcomes for young children and their families.
