Karl Gemperli has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Karl began their career in 1997 as Vice President of Operations at Airport Systems International, a US-based aerospace technology company. In 2000, they founded Elecsys Corporation, a publicly traded provider of innovative Industrial IoT solutions. Gemperli served as Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Director, and Board Member at Elecsys until it was acquired by Lindsay Corporation in 2015. In 2016, they became Founding Partner at Leawood Venture Capital and Investment Committee at Castor Ventures. At Castor Ventures, Gemperli was part of a venture capital fund providing MIT alumni the opportunity to invest in ventures led by other MIT graduates. In 2017, they became Chairman, Director, Board Member at Storewise and in 2018 they took on the same roles at Analytical Flavor Systems. In 2019, they were Director, Board Member at PRENAV and in 2020 they became Board Member at Sorcero, HyperQube Technologies, and Atomicorp.
Karl Gemperli obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Aeronautical & Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1982 and 1986. Karl then went on to obtain a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University between 1986 and 1987. In 1995, they obtained the Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certifications from APICS.
