Siavash Khallaghi

Siavash Khallaghi has been working in the field of machine learning and computer vision since 2008. Siavash began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Queen's University, where they wrote an ITK module that registered a statistical model to ultrasound images. In 2010, they moved to The University of British Columbia as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they wrote a C++ framework to capture B-mode, RF and elastography data seamlessly during the procedure. In 2015, they held two positions as a Machine Learning Scientist, first at Copypants and then at LightPath Imaging Labs. In 2017, they became a Research Engineer and Software Engineer at Clarius Mobile Health, where they worked with a team to develop an ultrasound acquisition app for iOS and Android platforms. In 2019, they joined Huawei as a Senior Computer Vision Researcher. In 2021, they founded Unraveled AI and also served as a Computer Vision Consultant at Mesmer. Siavash is currently a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Prenuvo.

Siavash Khallaghi completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic between 2004 and 2008. Siavash then went on to pursue their Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen's University from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia in 2015.
