Kara West

Kara West has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an Undergraduate Researcher at the National Science Foundation in 2008. Kara then held a Research Assistant IV and Graduate Research Assistant position at the University of Maine from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they became a Research Assistant at Pervasis Therapeutics, Inc. and in 2011, a Research Associate - consultant at Cambridge Biolabs. In 2012, they were a Research Associate - contract at Concert Pharmaceuticals and in 2013, an Associate Scientist at Targanox. From 2015 to 2018, they were an Account Manager - Western USA and Canada at ChemAxon, and from 2018 to 2019, a Technical Sales Manager at Biognosys AG. Currently, they are the Head of US Sales at PreOmics.

Kara West has a strong educational background. Kara completed a BS in Computer Science from Kingston University in 2006 and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Maine in 2010. In addition, they have obtained four certifications from LinkedIn in 2021, including Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking, A Design Thinking Approach to Putting the Customer First, Design Thinking: Venture Design, and Learning Design Thinking.
