Mehmet Koseoglu

Mehmet Koseoglu's work experience began as a Software Engineer at Aselsan in 2004. Mehmet then worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Bilkent University from 2006 to 2013, followed by a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Bilkent University in 2013-2014. Mehmet later served as a Visiting Scholar at Boston University in 2010. Mehmet joined the University of California, Los Angeles as a Postdoctoral Machine Learning Researcher in 2017-2018. Afterwards, Mehmet worked as a Data Science Consultant at Principal Financial Group from 2018 to 2019. In 2021, they became an Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at Hacettepe University, and in 2019, they earned the title of "associate professor." Mehmet then took on roles at Udemy, starting as a Senior Staff Data Scientist - Machine Learning from 2021 to 2022, and later as a Principal Data Scientist - Machine Learning from 2022 to the present. Most recently, in 2023, they joined Preply as a Principal Data Scientist - Machine Learning.

Mehmet Koseoglu completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University from 2000 to 2004. Mehmet then continued their education at Bilkent University, obtaining a Master of Science degree in the same field from 2004 to 2007. Mehmet further pursued their studies and earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University between the years 2007 and 2013.
