Katarina Andries

Katarina Andries (Smith) is currently the Program Director at Prequel, where they lead initiatives that empower middle and high school students to build real-world projects aligned with their passions. They oversee curriculum development, program design, and operations, having successfully scaled the flagship program AlphaX to help over 1,000 students enhance their skills and confidence. Previously, Katarina served as a Program Associate and Senior Associate at On Deck, where they contributed to the development of programs for early-career professionals in tech. Prior to that, they managed school programs for UBC Geering Up Engineering Outreach, reaching 30,000 youth annually. Katarina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Sciences from The University of British Columbia and is pursuing an Associate Performance Diploma in Speech and Drama from Trinity College London.
