Jim Olson

Founder at Presage Biosciences

Jim Olson has been working in the field of pediatric diseases since 1991. Jim began their career as an Attending Physician at Seattle Children's and a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington. In 1995, they became a Professor at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. In 2008, they founded Presage Biosciences, Inc. and in 2010 they founded Blaze Bioscience. In 2019, they founded Link Immunotherapeutics. Currently, they are a Principal Investigator at Seattle Children's Research Institute, where they are responsible for discovering novel therapeutics for pediatric diseases and leading the Invent@SC Postdoctoral Scholars Program.

Jim Olson received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Western Michigan University in 1984. Jim then attended the University of Michigan, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology in 1991.
