Nathan Schauer

Program Director at Presage Biosciences

Nathan Schauer has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. Nathan began as a Research Assistant at MIT in 2010 and continued as an Undergraduate Researcher at Pomona College in 2011. In 2012, they were a DAAD RISE Professional Intern at BASF. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Lab Technician at The MGH/HST Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, where they were responsible for radiopharmaceutical production, non-human primate study coordination, and other techniques such as cyclotron operation, automated synthesis, HPLC, GC, radio-TLC, MCA, and blood analysis. Nathan then transitioned to Harvard University, where they worked as a PhD Candidate and PhD Graduate Student from 2014 to 2019. Most recently, they have been a Postdoctoral Scientist at Gilead Sciences since 2019 and a Program Director and Clinical Scientist at Presage Biosciences, Inc. since 2021. In their current role, they are responsible for clinical site partnerships, pharma partnerships, and pharmacodynamic biomarker analysis of human tumors to enable all aspects of Presage's unique Phase 0 clinical research platform.

Nathan Schauer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Pomona College, which they obtained between 2008 and 2012. Nathan then went on to Harvard University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Biology in 2019. In April 2021, they also obtained a Leadership Commitments certification from LinkedIn.
