Maral Mirshahi

Maral Mirshahi has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and positions.

In 2023, Maral worked as the Head of Compliance at Presail.

From 2021 to 2023, Maral served as the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Aker Solutions.

Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, Maral worked at KPMG Norway as a Manager in Forensic Services and Corporate Intelligence. Maral'sexpertise in this role included collection and analysis of open-source and human-source intelligence, investigative due diligence, and risk assessments.

Before joining KPMG, Maral was a Social Science Research Professional at Stanford University from 2015 to 2017. Maral conducted research on nuclear weapons use, just war doctrine, nuclear non-proliferation, and the humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons.

From 2013 to 2015, Maral had multiple roles at PRIO, including Administrative Coordinator, Project Assistant, and Research Assistant.

In 2012, Maral worked as an International Intern at the UNDP - Electoral Support Project, where they researched electoral legislations and assisted with gender and election training.

Maral Mirshahi has a strong education background in the field of International Relations and Political Science. From 2008 to 2011, they attended the University of Oslo (UiO) and obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Studies/Political Science. Building on this foundation, Maral pursued a higher level of education at the NMBU - Norwegian University of Life Sciences. From 2012 to 2014, they completed their Master of Science in International Relations, specializing in International Relations and Political Science.
