Krystal Valdez

System Director, Quality Programs at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital

Krystal Valdez has had a diverse range of work experiences. Krystal started their career at Azusa Pacific University as an Adjunct Faculty in the School of Nursing from January 2015 to August 2015. Krystal then joined Huntington Hospital as a Registered Nurse from July 2011 to July 2015, where they later became the Stroke Coordinator - Clinical Nurse Specialist from July 2015 to April 2017. After that, they joined PIH Health as a Stroke Clinical Nurse Specialist from April 2017 to March 2019. Krystal then served as the Stroke Program Director at PIH Health from April 2019 to May 2020. Currently, they hold the position of System Director, Quality Programs at PIH Health since May 2020.

Krystal Valdez has a Master's Degree in Clinical Nurse Specialist from Azusa Pacific University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the same university from 2009 to 2011. Krystal also completed a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Health from Azusa Pacific University between 2002 and 2007. Additionally, Krystal Valdez holds a certification in Board Certified Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist from the ANCC, which they obtained in 2015.
