Daniel Gaspar

Daniel Gaspar has worked in the tech industry since 1997. Daniel'sfirst job was as a Database Administrator/ORACLE Forms PL/SQL Developer at Datinfor. From 2002 to 2012, they worked as a Systems Administrator at Banco Português de Negócios and Banco BIC. In 2015, they became a DevOps Engineer at Miniclip. In 2018, they wrote a book called "Mastering Flask Web Development" for Packt Publishing. Daniel also became the Owner of Subset in 2019. Additionally, they have been a Committer and PMC (Project Management Commitee) on Apache Superset since 2019 and a Staff Software Engineer at Preset since 2019. As a Staff Software Engineer, they have rearchitected Apache Superset REST API, rearchitected Apache Superset from MVC to SPA, done Apache Superset oficial releases and automation, done DevOps work on automation, security, CI, CD, and observability, integrated Apache Superset as a SaaS solution, implemented a python database driver and SQLAlchemy dialect for Elasticsearch, maintained open source projects, and handled/fixed security vulnerabilities.

Daniel Gaspar obtained an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa between 2004 and 2010. Daniel also completed a course in Advanced System Administration for the Solaris 10 Operating System (SA 202 - S10) at GFI in 2009. In 2007, they obtained an Administration certification in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager from Distrilogie. In 2006, they obtained a Fundamentals certification in Connect Direct & GIS from ISI and completed a Swift Implementation and Administration course at Swift. Daniel also obtained an Administration and Implementation certification in Altitude Uci from Altitude in 2005, and an Administration certification in AIX from Datinfor - Formação in 2001.
