Laura (Farrell) Bracis has over 15 years of work experience in finance and accounting roles. Laura currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the National Trust for Historic Preservation since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked at The Nature Conservancy for nine years, where they held various positions including Controller and Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting. In these roles, they oversaw corporate finance activities, led a team of 37 staff, managed financial statement audits, and implemented corrective action plans. Before joining The Nature Conservancy, Laura worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Inova Health System and as an Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Laura (Farrell) Bracis attended Washington and Lee University from 2001 to 2005. Laura completed their Bachelor of Science degree with Special Attainments in Commerce (summa cum laude), focusing on Business Administration and Accounting during their time there.
