Jack Lin's work experience begins in 2005 when they worked as a Computer Technician for the Journalism department at California State University, Northridge. During this role, they maintained computer hardware and software for three computer labs. In 2006, they joined Medtronic as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they worked until 2011.

Jack Lin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2001 to 2005. Jack then pursued further education at California State University, Northridge, from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
