Kenneth Wu has a diverse work experience in the medical device and healthcare industry. Kenneth is currently the Co-founder & Board Member at Presidio Medical, Inc., a clinical-stage medical device company focused on developing neuromodulation technology to treat chronic pain. Prior to this, they served as the CTO, Co-founder, and President of the same company.
Kenneth also worked as a Medical Device Innovation Instructor at Medical Device Innovation Consulting in 2017. Kenneth served as a Mentor/Advisor at Highway1 from 2015 to 2018, where they provided guidance to hardware-focused companies, particularly in the medical device and health technology sector.
From 2015 to 2018, Kenneth was the COO at Siris Medical, where they used AI to improve outcomes for radiation oncology patients. Kenneth managed company operations, including quality, product development, manufacturing, and product commercialization, as well as the company's IP Portfolio.
In 2016, Kenneth worked as a Medical Innovation Consultant at Fogarty Institute for Innovation, providing consulting services for medical device innovation training. Kenneth also worked as a Product Development Consultant in 2015 and as an R&D Program Manager at Spiracur Inc from 2008 to 2015, where they led the development of the company's acute care product line platform.
Kenneth's earlier experience includes working as a post-doc at Stanford University, conducting animal studies for surgical scar reduction devices, and as the founder of InSite Medical. Additionally, Kenneth served as the President of the Stanford Biodesign Alumni Association (SBAA) from 2013 to 2015, organizing professional development, networking, and service opportunities for alumni of the Stanford Biodesign Fellowship program.
Kenneth Wu earned their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Kenneth further pursued their education at Stanford University, where they completed their PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from 2000 to 2006.
