Michael Sun has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Michael began their career in 2000 as a Habitat Restoration Intern at the National Park Service. From there, they worked as a Vegetation Monitor and an Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders Intern at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. In 2004, they transitioned to the culinary industry and worked as a Sushi Chef at Goemon Japanese Restaurant for nine years. In 2011 and 2012, they held positions as a Wildlife Technician and Herpetology Technician at Humboldt State University. In 2014, they worked as a Biologist at WRA, Inc. and as a Science Specialist at Farallone View Elementary School. Michael also briefly held the role of Lead Teacher at Aim High. Michael then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biology, General from Humboldt State University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Michael also holds certifications in Scuba Diving, CPR, and First Aid.
