Gian Michael Piano

Gian Michael Piano has a diverse work experience in the fields of real estate development, land planning, and urban design. Gian Michael worked at Presidium for a significant duration, starting as a Development Analyst in October 2016 and progressing to become a Vice President of Development from November 2022 onwards. In their various roles at Presidium, they were responsible for managing real estate development projects, overseeing due diligence, acquisition, contract procurement, design team oversight, capitalization, financing, planning, permitting, and construction delivery. Gian Michael also handled project coordination, financial analysis, budget structuring, construction draw monitoring, land planning, urban design, schedule execution, contract negotiation, and securing debt/equity for capitalizing projects.

Prior to their tenure at Presidium, Gian Michael Piano worked at Design Workshop as a Land Planning & Urban Design professional. Gian Michael played a key role in designing, planning, and managing urban planning and landscape architectural solutions for diverse projects in the private, institutional, and public sectors. Their responsibilities included land use planning, site planning/engineering, landscape architectural design, community development, streetscape design, code and policy planning, and urban design of public and private spaces. Gian Michael also created effective presentations for communication with various stakeholders.

Gian Michael Piano also briefly worked at The Lakota Group, where they focused on Planning & Urban Design. During this time, they worked with clients from the public and private sectors, including cities, suburban municipalities, small towns, developers, non-profit organizations, and Main Street programs. The Lakota Group specializes in planning, urban design, landscape architecture, historic preservation, and community relations.

Gian Michael Piano attended Saint Ignatius College Prep from 2005 to 2009, although the specific degree and field of study during this time are unknown. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2009 to 2014, with a focus on Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design.
