Tim Donohue has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Tim started their career as a Senior Accountant at PwC from November 1985 to October 1987. Following this, they became the Director of Private Client Services at PMD Financial Advisers in October 1987, where they specialized in financial planning for high-income executives and high net worth individuals. In 1993, Tim joined Camp Australia as a Strategic Planning & Advisory Board Member, contributing to the delivery of high-quality before and after school care programs. In 2004, they served as a Financial Advisor to the GS1 Australia Board of Directors, an international association aimed at improving supply chains globally. In 2005, Tim founded Prestige Inhome Care, providing high-quality home-based care services. In 2007, they became the Founder and Director of Premium Lending Group, a mortgage broking and finance consultancy business. In 2012, Tim joined Enterprise Ireland as a member of the Victorian Advisory Panel, promoting Irish businesses exporting to the Asia/Pacific region. Tim then became a Founder and Director of Melbourne Chain Wire Fencing in February 2016, known for its high-quality workmanship in the fencing industry. In November 2015, Tim co-founded SME360, a sports marketing, events management, and media company focusing on the Asia Pacific region.

Tim Donohue attended Parade College from 1974 to 1981. Tim then enrolled at Monash University from 1982 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Economics with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Following this, Tim attended RMIT University from 1987 to 1990, earning a Diploma of Financial Planning. Additionally, they became a Fellow of CPA Australia as well as a Certified Practising Accountant through the same organization. Tim also achieved the designation of Fellow from the Financial Planning Association of Australia, along with being a Certified Financial Planner.
