Tim Meehan

Tim Meehan is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at IBM since May 2023 and serves as the Chair of the Technical Steering Committee at the Presto Foundation since March 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a software engineer at Meta from July 2018 to May 2023, focusing on the Facebook data warehouse utilizing Presto, and a senior software engineer position at Bloomberg LP from July 2016 to June 2018, specializing in enterprise reporting and equities frameworks. Tim also held senior software engineer roles at Conductor, Inc. and an associate quantitative and algorithmic trading strategist position at Goldman Sachs, where responsibilities included electronic trading and regulatory reporting. Tim began the career journey with an engineering internship at Honeywell International and gained early experience as a research assistant and student worker at Arizona State University while obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same institution from 2005 to 2010.
