Nicole Billington CIPR has extensive work experience in various roles related to policy, external relations, projects, communications, marketing, and public relations. Their most recent position was as Head of Policy & External Relations at Preston City Council, a role they have held since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Projects and Communications Manager at Blackpool Council and a Marketing Officer at Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, starting in May 2018 and ending in September 2022. Nicole also gained experience as a PR Officer & PA to Robert Pinkus at Robert Pinkus & Co from February 2006 to May 2018. Additionally, they worked as an Account Manager at Freedman Brown Communications and an Account Executive at Strategic Objectives.
Nicole Billington CIPR completed their education at three different institutions and attained various qualifications. Nicole began their education at Cardinal Allen RC High School in Fleetwood from 1986 to 1991, where they achieved 10 GCSEs and a BTEC Dance qualification. Following this, from 1991 to 1994, they attended Blackpool and The Fylde College, focusing on A Level subjects, including English Literature, Psychology, Fine Art and History of Art, along with completing a course in GCSE Psychology. Finally, Nicole pursued higher education at the University of Central Lancashire from 1994 to 1998. Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Public Relations & Design Studies, specializing in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication.
