Donna Fishman

Director, Nat Ctr for Children’s Vision & Eye Health at Prevent Blindness

Donna Fishman has been a director at the Nat Ctr for Children’s Vision & Eye Health at Prevent Blindness since December 2012. Prior to that, they were the Director of Training at Healthy Schools Campaign from January 2006 to December 2012. In their role at Healthy Schools Campaign, Donna coordinated successful professional development programs for school nurses and teachers, delivered training, identified and secured additional speakers, and managed the application process. Donna also conducted process and outcome evaluations of school nurse and teacher training programs, designed surveys, performed data analysis, and wrote evaluation reports.

In addition to their work at Healthy Schools Campaign, Donna has also been an active presenter and member of various committees and organizations. Donna has presented at the Annual Conference of the National Association of School Nurses in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Donna was also a member of the Executive Committee for Stakeholders Advisory Group at the Respiratory Health Association in Chicago from 2008-2011 and is currently a member of the School Health Advisory Committee for the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Donna is also a member of the Illinois Public Health Association.

Donna Fishman has a Masters of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Minnesota, a Mini-MBA in Non Profit Management from the University of St. Thomas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Donna Fishman reports to Jeff Todd, President & CEO. Donna Fishman works with Irene Watson - Controller, Kira Baldonado - VP, Public Health & Policy, and Kate Desulis - Director, Development.
