Ruth Shoge

Ruth Shoge, OD, MPH, FAAO, currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Prevent Blindness and holds the positions of Associate Professor of Health Sciences and Chief Diversity Officer at the University of California, Berkeley. Ruth Shoge is the Founder and CEO of RYS Consultants, LLC, which focuses on providing diversity, equity, and inclusion solutions for the healthcare industry. Previously, Ruth Shoge was an Assistant Professor at Salus University and held leadership roles at The Eye Institute, including Chief of Pediatric and Binocular Vision Services and Residency Coordinator. Ruth Shoge earned a Master of Public Health in Social and Behavioral Science from Temple University College of Public Health, an OD from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and a BS in Biology from Randolph-Macon College.
