Lisa McGovern currently serves as the Executive Director of the Congressional Families Cancer Prevention Program at the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a position held since June 2003. Previously, Lisa worked as the Deputy Associate Administrator for Congressional Affairs at the U.S. General Services Administration Office of Inspector General from October 1995 to January 2001 during the Clinton Administration. Additionally, Lisa held various roles, including Scheduler to the Committee Chairman, at the U.S. House of Representatives from May 1984 to January 1995, engaging in legislative, press, and administrative duties. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and attended The Catholic University of America from 1987 to 1989.
