Christa Austin Lmsw

Principal Trainer at Prevent Child Abuse America

Christa Austin, LMSW, has extensive experience in the field of social work, particularly focused on child welfare and family support. Since February 2014, Christa has served as Principal Trainer at Prevent Child Abuse America, facilitating Healthy Families America (HFA) trainings and certifying new trainers. Previously held roles include Implementation Specialist, where Christa provided Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and technical assistance to programs, and National Trainer for HFA Integrated Strategies. Christa was also a Board Member at the Illinois Association for Infant Mental Health from January 2017 to March 2019. Prior to these roles, Christa was Senior Program Advisor at the Ounce of Prevention Fund, enhancing program development and identifying best practices across various family support models. Christa holds a Master's in Clinical/Medical Social Work and has pursued further education in social work and public administration at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and University of Illinois Springfield.
