Prevent Mechanical's corporate DNA is descended from one of Calgary's largest mechanical equipment manufacturer's representatives and the City's leading water treatment company.

Focusing on light commercial and multi-family residential buildings, we are passionate about preventative maintenance programs that deliver better comfort, efficiency and equipment longevity to our customers. One study conducted by Jones Lang Lasalle demonstrates that an aggressive mechanical maintenance program can produce returns of over 500% in lower energy costs, reduced service calls and extended equipment life.

We go beyond the mechanical aspect of that maintenance by offering integrated water treatment as part of every maintenance program. While most mechanical contractors subcontract annual or biannual testing and maintenance of corrosion inhibitors to the lowest cost provider, Prevent Mechanical insists that this critical component of the maintenance program be performed at every maintenance visit. Why is this important? Because rust never sleeps. Internal corrosion of the closed loop heating systems steel components is the leading cause of premature pump, pipe, seal and valve failure in hydronic systems. Corrosion is a hidden time-bomb; a reserve-fund wrecking cost that can be avoided by careful and considerate maintenance.
